Look at the image and explain was done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image? What is the mood of this image? What is the photographer saying or what story is being told here? What emotion is evoked inside of you? Using your knowledge of framing, angles, elements/principles of design, placement and lighting (as well as your awareness of how images are subjective to the viewer) thoughtfully deconstruct this image and explain how it is a significant image. Discuss the technical process that was used to achieve this.

Things that were done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image was make the picture in black in white. This gives this picture a sence of lonelyness and darkness. I think the author is trying to put across that theres this lonely girl, maybe she was abandond or something and shes just standing there over the railing seems like shes maybe waiting for someone. The emotion evoked inside of me is a dark lonely feeling. I feel a memory comming back when to me of when I was ditched by my friends just leaving me alone and i had no one to talk to or do anything with. This picture deffinently shows space. There is just one girl standing there and the rest is just emptyness. Also it seems as if there is light shining from her right side and from underneath her over the railing. This picture is also showing lines. The railings and the door or window behind her have lines in it as well.

#2
Things that were done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image was that it is in low depth of field. The foreground is in focas and the background is blured out. I think the artist made it that was so that it shows how a mother and its baby are maybe alone in the desert it seems. Also that they have a long road ahead of them or they maybe came a long way. The mood of this image is very calm and dry. I feel as if the mom and baby are just there to fill some space and i can see the wind blowing in her hair so thats why i think it's calm. I think its dry because whenever i think of desert i think dry and the background looks like a desert. I think the photographer is trying to tell a story and the story i think is a mother and her baby are dropped off by an uncaring father in a desert left to fight life on their own. that's what i think when i see this picture. The placement of lighting is from the left side if your looking at the picture and its the woman's right side. In taking this picture and making it in low depth of field i think the photographer had to move the women a little to the right of the picture so she is still in focus but the background is all blured out.

Things that were done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image was that it is in high depth of field. Everything is in focas in theis picture, well atleast what you can see. I can see that this neighborhood that these kids are in doesnt seem that good with almost deserted streets. I think the mood in the picture is kind of suspicious. The road in this picture almost seems as if it is never ending and could go on forever. there is also space in this picture coming from one of the elements of design. The emotion evoked inside of me is creepy. I dont really know what is going on in the picture all i see is three black guys crossing a street and its almost deserted except for a couple cars. In this picture i think there is some texture. It seems as if you can feel the hot sun on your skin and i feel like im there, also the cracks and fillings in the road i can almost touch.

Things that were done technically to covey the meaning and mood of this image is that its in black and white and the women is really close up. the black and white in this picture shows that when this women was a little girl when she watched things on tv or saw pictures in newspapers it was in black and white so this ties in really good with the image. I cant really tell what the mood in this picture is but i think it is kind of happy because she has a smirk on her face so i guess she might be a little happy. The emotion evoked inside me is a sence of welcoming. She seems like the kind of person that waits in front of a hotel and welcomes you in. Or just a nice old lady sitting on the couch of that hotel and being kind to everyone. This picture also shows texture, you can see the wrincles on her face.

Things that were done technically to covey the meaning and mood of this image is that there was bonding involved. You can see how there are two different pictures comming together. So there is no way the photographer can be at the same place at the same time. The mood of this image is very sad. Because he is basically looking at his dead self. The mood that is evoked inside me when i look at this is sad as well because of what i said earlyer. The blanket on the dead guy has a little bit of texture. the placement of lighting seems like its comming from a window thats off to the left of the picture and a little bit towards the camera.
